Why Locals Love Denny’s
Located in the bustling Plaza Ubika El Refugio in Santiago de Querétaro, Denny’s brings the classic American diner experience to Mexico with its renowned 24-hour service and a menu that evokes both comfort and nostalgia. This diner-style restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere characterized by casual, eclectic decor that balances familiarity with a touch of local flair, making it a welcoming spot for both early breakfasts and late-night cravings.
The menu at Denny’s is a celebration of hearty diner classics, with the standout being the Grand Slam Burger, praised by regulars like Klaus B. for its generous portions of succulent meat and perfectly cooked eggs — a true indulgence for burger lovers. The flavors are rich and satisfying, with each bite delivering a delightful blend of smoky, savory, and fresh elements. Though some regulars have noted the absence of brisket, the current offerings still provide a solid variety of options that appeal to diverse tastes.
Dining here means embracing the unpretentious comfort food tradition: pancakes dripping with syrup, crispy hash browns, and diner-style eggs sunny-side up or scrambled to perfection. The food strikes a good balance between quality and value, though some visitors like Soldier 715 have remarked on prices that are slightly higher compared to other local eateries.
Customer reviews highlight the attentive and friendly staff who contribute to a welcoming dining experience, although a few have mentioned occasional delays in service during quieter times, a curiosity for a place that is never truly closed. Sports fans will appreciate the diner’s evolving TV line-up, with Claudia MNWard happily noting the recent addition of golf broadcasts alongside the usual football and soccer — a thoughtful nod to varied sports enthusiasts.
Denny’s is more than just a place to eat; it’s a slice of Americana nestled in Querétaro’s vibrant restaurant scene. Whether you’re seeking a reliable all-day dining spot with hearty portions or a lively hangout to enjoy classic dishes paired with good company and sports on the big screen, this Denny’s location offers an accessible and steady option that feels both familiar and refreshingly honest.

As good and bad as an American Diner, the service was good, the wait for our meal was a little more then expect and the place was not crowded at all to do so, but the food was really good, the place is okay with some cool decorations, and they’re open 24H

Dennys it's alright, me personally I don't think it's too expensive and food is pretty good, but I don't like they don't have brisket anymore.

Pretty good food. I would avoid scrambled eggs they are powdered. We have crepes, banana better smoothies, berry waffle slam. All tasted great. It's pretty noisy on a Sunday so go early. The long lines start at 10am

Had a nice Thanksgiving dinner, which I had hoped would be offered even here in Mexico. As usual at any Denny's, there is little value placed on plate presentation: No sauce or butter on the potatoes or vegetables, no adornments. But the food was warm and neatly placed on the plate.... otherwise the restaurant was clean, bright and friendly. I appreciated hearing music in the background. The desert was well made and hot (the cookie and sauce) and cold (the ice cream). I was a little surprised at the price, but it was probably still a little cheaper than in the States. The server was friendly and dealt well with my broken Spanish.

Very similar to the USA. I liked the food better. It tasted less filled with chemicals than in America.
